Senate Bill 1159
Senate Bill 1159 requires that employers expand access to workers’ compensation insurance for all workers who contract Covid-19. The bill also codifies the “rebuttable presumption,” which assumes that if a front-line worker contracts Covid-19, it occurred in the workplace. The burden of proving otherwise is placed on employers.
